For this weeks assignment, I again begin by starting my car model over. I am learning more techniques and seem to be getting something that might eventually resemble an automobile. From that model I isolate a portion of the front fender and used that to create a new compositional matrix. The pattern shown was developed by arranging the objects from the new matrix.
This pattern reminds me many things, scales on a fish, armor, Gehry’s buildings and joints. I think this pattern reminds me of those things because it appears to be in motion. It appears to be a surface over something which is moving underneath it.
ReplyDeleteVery powerful shapes. It also shows a frozen moment of a dynamic movement like a wing is going to unfold. It's interesting how the "feathers" of the wing differ from each other yet have some degree of resemblance.
